As Factory Authorized Dealers for Carrier, we primarily install Carrier products but are not limited to that and will install and service all other brands.

Should I repair my heating and air system or get it replaced?

We generally advocate repairing a system, but we will recommend the replacement route if the system is out of warranty when a major component fails or has been discontinued.

Do you install mini splits?

Yes, we service and install mini split systems.

Do you work on Evaporative Coolers AKA Swamp Coolers?

Yes, we service and install evaporative coolers.

What areas do you service?

We service all El Dorado County, our coverage map includes up to Folsom in the West, to Pilot Hill in the North, Kyburz in the East, and Plymouth in the South. Any farther out from those areas would incur a travel charge.

Do you service commercial properties?

Yes, we service and install HVAC equipment on commercial properties. The only exception is that we do not service freezers, walk in boxes, etc.

Is there a charge to get an estimate on a new heating and air system?

There is no charge to provide a bid on a new heating and air system, however if you would like the existing system diagnosed there would be a charge for that.

How long does a heating and air system last?

The average lifespan of a heating and air system is 11-15 years, but with regular maintenance, we have seen many systems last 20-30 years or more.

Can Ski Air Inc perform warranty work?

If it is a Carrier system under factory warranty, we can get part costs covered under warranty but there would still be a labor charge for the repair.

How much does a new heating and air system cost?

The ballpark cost on a new system is between $11k-$15k but we provide custom bids for each project so that cost can vary.

How much does it cost for a service call?

We charge a $99 diagnostic fee to determine what is wrong with a heating and air system, then a repair quote will be provided at that time.
