When to Consider A/C System Replacement

System Age: The average lifespan of a system is 11-15 years, once it is past that and the warranty period it’s a good idea to at least prepare for eventual replacement.

System Using Obsolete Refrigerant: R-22 refrigerant production ceased in 2020 with remaining supplies being limited and very expensive. In the event of a system leak it may be more economical to replace the system.
